The runners are handcrafted from American white oak, purposely chosen for its superior strength and durability – especially when exposed to inclement weather. Each one comes pre-drilled and with 3x stainless steel screws (6x in total), as these won’t rust. 

Tip – the runners typically last 8-10 years untreated, but for added longevity and aesthetics, apply a clear wood lacquer.

The aluminium door has a pre-drilled hole for attaching the ChickenGuard Door Opener cord and will work seamlessly within the runners, gliding up and down gracefully (no sticking).
